Do you just work with dogs?

Image
So the short answer is no!  The longer and more blog appropriate answer is... We're quite happy to try working with most animals. We know our own strengths and therefore know that Deb would almost definitely end up dealing with any pets who require live feeding...  Professionally to date we have worked with cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, a tortoise and chickens....  Sian has previously owned hamsters, and stick insects, she looked after a friend's Giant African Land snail and fancies one day owning a bearded dragon along with goats alpacas and donkeys...  Deb has had experience of owning guinea pigs and Koi Carp... she's not sure about Siân having a bearded dragon (she'll end up feeding it) but is quite happy with the menagerie of other animals.  So essentially what we're saying is if you do have an unusual pet that needs caring for please do get in touch and we can have a chat about their care needs!  Siân thinks we're a bit like these signs :...

What Do You Need?

We're always amazed at how well our customers look after us... we've had money left to buy ourselves a takeaway (on multiple occasions); customers who've bought our favourite food items; people checking if we have allergies or specific dietary needs. The truth is when we're on a sit we eat like teenagers. We're happy eating beans on toast or in Siân's case green pot noodles!  We really however, don't need anything bought in for us.... if you have items in your fridge that need using up please let us know (if it's pizza Siân will always do her best to eat it lol). We'll be especially happy if there's bread and milk available but not a necessity! Cute  Sesame Street  video

Tools of the Trade

We have a dog who loves to roll in fox poop...fortunately it's our own dog... everything he's off lead he rolls and coats his face and neck in the stuff!  If you've never smelt fox poop it's horrible stuff and difficult to get out...  These two products are highly recommended for anyone whose pup is a roller!! Bud actually rolls so often that we have the shampoo on monthly subscription!      Duck dog washer     Shampoo

the elusive indestructible toy...

So on a Facebook post yesterday I saw a toy which seems too good to be true.. it's a promise of an indestructible dog toy that will keep pets entertained for hours...  I have obviously ordered one (sorry Deb)...and we shall get Buddy to test it (anything that survives him and his chewing is worth it's weight in gold). This is  the toy  it looks unexceptional but we'll see!  ---- UPDATE : Buddy and Ollie were underwhelmed... it has been removed with our good friend Wayne and his new dog!
